Nika International signs John Bryant-Meisner as the new pilot

Göteborg 2015-03-03

John Bryant-Meisner signs on for Nika International in a long-term agreement.

We are now very pleased to finally announce that John Bryant-Meisner will be our new WTCC driver during the upcoming season. Numerous negotiations have been conducted both in Sweden and internationally to find the most suitable driver for us. Not an easy task but finally our decision fell on John and his partners mainly because of his solid background in Formula 3, his experience in international racing, high ambitions, and his young age. He will, therefore, make a perfect fit for our development program, Swedish Young Generation, in which we support young Swedish athletes in the early stage of their professional career. Our conclusion is that he is ready for a long and flourishing career in touring car racing.

John has been racing and teammate with other successful pilots like Daniil Kvyat and Carlos Sainz Jr. to mention a few. His professional race career has mostly been in German and European F3, GP3 and Formula Renault Series among other very competitive championships.

He also qualified for the prestigious AMG Junior Driver program in Germany. An opportunity he had to refrain because of other commitments.

The team behind John, his sponsors together with our long-term goal, will make this venture take a significant step forward for everyone involved.

Now a period of intense preparation starts for John and the team with adjusting the car to John, simulator sessions and other tests will also take place. The timeframe to get it all together is tight but with the team´s long experience John will be ready for his first WTCC race at the WTCC premier at Circuit Paul Ricard in April.

We are thrilled to start working with John’s WTCC career; the most competitive race series there is. The teams solid background in touring car racing will also ensure his development as a new driver within the WTCC-circus and make his transition from formula racing to touring car as smooth as possible.

We will present more information about the new sponsors and partners at a later stage.
